The Best Mother Ever
It's hard to believe that yesterday marked the tenth anniversary of the passing of Princess Diana. A memorial service was held in London yesterday for two reasons. The first to celebrate the life of a woman who gave more of herself to the world than any other member of any royal family. The second was in an effort to finally put closure on all the speculation over her death. While the first reason was served well, the latter may never come to fruition. The most poignant moment of the service is when younger son, Harry (the spare, not the heir) gave a moving speech filled with love and tenderness proclaiming the Princess of the people, to be "the best mother ever". Thankfully, Prince Charles' current wife, Camilla, had the good sense to stay away from the service. Her presence could only be a bitter reminder for those who loved Diana, that she was the straw that finally broke the camel's back in a marriage that never really had a chance any way.
