Keeping It Close To The Vest

Since I will be away most of the day tomorrow visiting yet another college and then taking my son to get his first tattoo (I'm sure I'll be writing about this next week), I wanted to post my Saturday post today. Flipping through some of the latest magazines, a trend that is making its way back to the forefront of fashion are menswear vests for women. The newest fashion trend is far from manish though. They are chic, delicate and feminine, trimmed with lace, ruffles and pearl buttons. They are great to wear with peasant skirts, which are still very much a big part of fashion as well as t-shirts and jeans. I wanted very much to download a photo for you all, but unfortunately the only images I could come up with were leather motorcylce vests for women or fleece vests and these are far from appropriate. The newer version of the menswear vests for women are not cheap to come by, but if you wait a bit, you will see knock offs of the designer versions making their way to discount stores (if they haven't done so already).
