Where More Traffic Is A Good Thing

Traffic! How much we hate to sit in it during rush hour and gridlock is the worst. However, when it comes to blogging, more traffic is the goal. So how do those top 100 bloggers listed on Technorati get to that golden circle of bloggers? If you check out their blogs, you will see that they have accumulated hundreds of links. Linking your blog to other blogs is literally opening up more traffic to your blog to hundreds of other readers. If you haven't yet begun trading links with other bloggers, then begin right now. Also, leave comments on those favorite blogs of yours...or, leave comments on some of those top 100 blogs. By leaving a comment, once again you are leaving an invitation for other readers to visit your blog. When someone leaves a comment on your blog, go back and visit that person's blog and do the same. It's not only a gracious thing to do, but you are, once again, promoting your blog. If you haven't already done so, start submitting your blog to blog directories. Every so often, I will post links to these directories and I will do so here at the end of this post. Finally, don't forget to ping! Pinging your blog every time you update will allow all those blog directories that you signed up for, including Technorati, that you've updated your blog so that your blog doesn't become stale.
