Messy Manes and Long Whiskers
You know how it is with trends. Things that were once popular back in the day, eventually make it's way around again for the next generation. Back in the 80's, big, messy hair for women and three-day stubble for men was all the rage. We have gone through many transitions since then including the very, clean-shaven looks for men and the super straight hair for women. For men, facial hair is making a comeback big time, with mega stars like Johnny Depp to Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon from 'Entourage'). Ironically, it was 80's shows like 'Miami Vice' that made stubble all the craze for guys, and the new full-length movie bearing the same name stars two guys adorned with different styles of facial hair (Jamie Foxx ad Colin Farrell). Guys have gone to great lengths to keep their stubble and their various facial hair growths well groomed by either waxing it perfection or having it professionally trimmed several times a week at upscale salons. For women, messy hair that looks slightly askew is no accident. Off center ponytails and messy bangs are part of a new trend in women's hairstyles that supposedly say "I've got a wild side to me". It's kind of modern punk!
