Madonna And Child

After a few days of did she or didn't she, it is not reported that Madonna and her husband, Guy Ritchie, took custody of a one-year old boy, named David, from an orphanage in Malawi, after filing adoption papers and receiving interim approval from judges. Although the boy's mother died from complications arising during his birth, the boy does have a father who is unable to care for him and, as a result, had to be placed in an orphanage. He was able to meet with Madonna and was very pleased that she seemed so interested in him. The father was told by Madonna and her husband that they will bring David back to Malawi to visit. I'm not sure what moved her enough to do this, but as an adoptive parent myself, there is nothing more rewarding she could have done, although she does plan on continuing to develop more childcare and schools in this area of Africa.
