Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe have announced through their reps of course, that they have formally split and Reese has reportedly contacted famed divorce lawyer, Robert Kaufman, who also represented Jennifer Aniston in her split from Brad Pitt. These two were always the sweethearts of the red carpet, but marital problems have plagued them throughout their marriage and they both have admitted seeking counseling to improve their relationship. One has to wonder if all celebrity relationships are doomed to fail. The couple have two children and plan to share custody and parenting responsibilities.
