Congratulations to Barry Manilow for his huge success of 'The Greatest Songs of the 60s' which sold over 200,000 copies the first week it was released. Barry broke all records for CD sales on
QVC. In fact, the only other CD that has outsold him this week is the soundtrack from Disney's Hannah Montana. Barry returns to his Vegas show tonight at the Las Vegas Hilton after recuperating from his arthroscopic surgery. Contrary to some reports, Barry did not have hip replacement surgery, but rather had the cartiledge tears in his hips repaired. His previous album, 'The Greatest Songs of the 50s' is still selling very well and was only released nine months ago. No doubt, there will be a 'Greatest Songs of the 70s' in the near future.
