Is there Fast Food after Dieting?
If you long for drive-thru fast food after you have started your diet, then don't worry! You can still have your fast food and diet too and feel relatively satisfied and guilt free all at the same time. Here are some alternatives to biggie sizing: Wendy's Mandarin Chicken Salad is not only delicious and contains a nice variety of greens, diced chicken breast, almonds and chinese noodles, but is only 420 calories. The most calories are contained in the dressing. If you want to use the dressing that comes with the salad, then just add only half the packet, instead of the whole packet, or carry packets of lowfat dressing with you and use those instead. You can also order a side salad and small chili from Wendy's. Their chili is very filling while still lowfat. At Burger King, choose the Chicken Wopper Jr at only 350 calories. As you well know from their commercials, Subway carries a variety of lowfat sandwiches that include turkey, ham and chicken terryaki which range from 310 to 370 calories. They also carry Baked Lays potato chips so you can feel free to add a bag of those without packing on too many more calories to your meal. McDonald's offers fruit and yogart parfait treats and at only 380 calories is a nice departure for your breakfast or lunch. Are you still craving fries? You can add a small bag of fries if you have to have them and not worry to much about spoiling your diet, or instead of ordering an adult or biggie-size meal, get a kid's meal instead with a plain hamburger, small fries and a bottle of water. In fact, at any of these fast food places choose water instead of soda or diet soda which can still contain caffeine. Caffeine is something anyone should limit as much as possible while dieting so bottled water is always a good choice.
