Magical Dolphins
My vacation is drawing to a close and what a wonderful way to spend it watching dolphins in their natural habitat instead of in an acquarium. We spent about two hours off the cost of Roanoke Island today, watching these magical creatures swimming in the waters surrounding our boat. Two things I learned today about dolphins is they don't talk. Those in captivity are taught to make those dophin sounds, while wild dolphins have nothing at all to say to human beings. The other thing I learned is that Mahi Mahi, a seafood dish served in many restaurants is not dolphin, but dolphin fish, which is a fish named after dolphins, but actually have no relationship to them (one is a mammal, while the other is a fish). Thanks for reading my vacation log and leaving your comments!
