MacDonalds Makes Fast Food Healthy
Today, I took my daughter to her favorite after-school destination which happens to be McDonalds. The one we visited is located on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, New York. This is one of my favorite McDonalds restaurants. The service is always great, fast and accurate. Although her choices range from the chicken nuggets value meal (still a great deal) to the chicken sandwiches, McDonalds is now offering more healthy choices for those who are watching their weight or looking to reduce their cholesterol. Their Asian salad is fabulous and if you order it with grilled chicken, you are still getting a delicious meal with the low-fat dressing. Pair that with a bottle of water and add on their walnut fruit salad, which comes in a snack size for $1.99. If you still crave burgers, and you happen to be following Weight Watchers, order a plain hamburger and a side salad with low-fat dressing for around 6 points. You don't have to deprive yourself of fast food, you just have to make better choices, and McDonalds can do that for you.
